QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS - CARD PAYMENTS: Safety of card payments

In order to minimise the possibility of fraud when paying by card online, please pay attention to the following recommendations:

Protect your data

When paying by card on the Internet or in any other way, do not submit the front and back of the card, your PIN or any data from the card such as card number, card validity date, control number. The reason for such requests may be due to an attempt to misuse the cards. Do not disclose personal data (ID number, passport number, NIN etc.) to third parties, so as not to become a victim of fraud on the Internet.

Phishing

Phishing means unauthorised e-mail messages or a new web browser window, the purpose of which is to obtain information about customers' personal data (ID number, passport number, NIN, etc.), as well as card data (card number, card validity date, control number).

Vhishing

Vhishing is a newer form of phishing that involves the unauthorised collection of customer and card data through a phone call.

E-mails and phone calls

Do not respond to e-mails or phone calls that ask for personal or card information. The Bank will never ask you to communicate the full card number, secret PIN number, card expiration date, or control number on the back of the card, by phone. Do not open links or attachments and do not respond to e-mails with suspicious content.

Report any suspicious transaction by calling 081 92 92 92, available 24/7.
