What does the term Sustainability mean?

Sustainability Management

Sustainability management is part of our identity and corporate culture. Within the Raiffeisen Sustainability Strategy, which encompasses economic, social, and environmental aspects of business, we strive to be a responsible banker, fair partner, and engaged citizen.

We define long-term strategies and set sustainable goals for economic progress and creating social value. We continuously adapt our business model to challenges and changes in the banking market, creating sustainable value for all our stakeholders.

We aim to align decision-making processes with the principles of responsible banking to protect the environment and contribute to the community in which we operate. We offer our clients "green" financial products and services and provide education on various financial topics.

UN Principles for Responsible Banking

Our parent company, Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), is a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Banking under the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative. This global framework for responsible banking brings together banks worldwide to develop and promote the link between sustainability and financial performance, making us part of a community with over 240 members from 69 countries.

UN Global Compact Initiative

RBI is also a signatory of the UN Global Compact initiative, which aims to help companies align their operations with sustainable principles.
