We Care for the Environment
We care for the environment, and our green activities are aligned with the 2025 Goals of our parent company. In the Ecology segment within the house at the Group level, there has been a 14% reduction in GHG emissions (CO2) in Scope 1 and 2 compared to 2020 (mainly energy consumption). Raiffeisen Bank reduced its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 3.5% compared to the previous year, primarily through:
Scope 2: Optimizing lighting, transitioning to cloud infrastructure, and implementing energy-efficient solutions that reduce electricity consumption.
Scope 3: Reducing emissions from financed activities and investing in projects with a lower carbon footprint.We installed solar panels on Building B of the Central Office in Sarajevo!
Within the Central Office premises, we installed:
- A Raiffeisen recycling machine,
- An electric vehicle for use based on the car-sharing principle, and
- An electric charger for vehicles intended for employees and bank clients.
The bank has provided its clients with a Carbon Footprint Report - CO2 carbon footprint, which calculates personalized CO2 consumption per client and currently delivers it to targeted clients/individuals. Starting in January 2025, the report will also be available to clients on the Mobile Banking platform of Raiffeisen Bank d.d. Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Continuous Support for the Local Community
- For over 20 years, we have actively contributed to the local community through various socially responsible projects. Support for students, volunteer activities by our employees, and long-standing collaboration and friendship with associations such as SUMERO, SRCE ZA DJECU, and SOS Children's Villages are just some of our activities. From July 2023 to June 2024, we invested in the community through 50 sponsorship and donation projects, helping around 1,300 people.
- In the initiative to improve access to financial products and services for groups with special needs, the bank is committed to ensuring accessibility for all individuals, including vulnerable groups, and accordingly:
- - 70% of all branches and agencies are barrier-free for clients with special needs,- Barrier-free access to ATMs is provided for 97% of ATMs,- Induction loops for people with hearing impairments are installed in 38% of our branches, mainly in main offices,- The bank has also introduced a priority service functionality for people with disabilities, known as "MojRed."

We care for our clients and assist them in transforming towards a sustainable future.
We recognize the importance of women's entrepreneurship and financial literacy through various channels.
The bank offers innovative "Green & Social" credit products aligned with ESG Green and ESG Social standards.
Products include financing for renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings, and support for women entrepreneurs and youth.
In transactional business, the bank offers inclusive products for women, students, and retirees, such as free CLUB packages for young people up to 26 years old and reduced fees for retirees.

We care for our employees and provide equal opportunities for professional development, and we are particularly proud of the equal representation of women in leadership positions.
We support diversity and encourage learning through internal and external training. We have ensured quality working conditions and regularly conduct surveys to improve employee satisfaction.
In the area of employee care, the Bank is committed to the well-being of its employees and creating conditions for establishing a work-life balance.
We have designed wellbeing programs called HERO – Healthy Employees of Raiffeisen Organisation, which promote the importance of mental health care and provide sessions for group physical activities and sports.
